Nidhi Kulkarni

Do not miss our closing keynote! An MIT alumna, Nidhi Kulkarni is Founder and CTO of Spitfire Athlete, a strength training app for women.

She graduated from MIT with a B.S. in Computer Science and competed in NCAA D1 Lightweight rowing at MIT. Prior to founding Spitfire Athlete, she worked as a senior software engineer at Okta, one of the top enterprise startups in the Valley.

Here’s Nidhi’s description of her talk:

“How do you take an idea and turn it into a viable company? I will tell the story of founding Spitfire Athlete, starting from founding it with no experience in mobile development or entrepreneurship to creating a product that is used by 100,000+ women around the world to build their physical and mental strength. It will cover topics including product development, articulating and communicating your long term vision, generating revenue and the world of Silicon Valley startups. I hope to simultaneously demystify the process of founding your own company and inspire anyone the audience who has an idea to make it a reality. Since many of you are engineers and I come from an engineering background myself, this talk will focus less on the engineering side of a tech startup and more on what I wish I had known about entrepreneurship before starting Spitfire.”

Come hear Nidhi speak about her entrepreneurial journey on Friday, October 28, at 1:30 in 32-141.

Afterwards, join GWAMIT and MIT Recreation in a strength training class in the Wang Fitness Center. Due to Nidhi’s generosity, attendees at this class will get complimentary access to Spitfire Athlete Pro for one month after the conference! That means access to their premium strength training plans. (Space is limited! RSVP below soon!)
